Ukraine has accused China of providing intelligence to Russia to enable more precise missile strikes on Ukrainian targets, according to a senior Ukrainian intelligence official.
Oleh Aleksandrov, an official from the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service, told Ukrinform that China is sending satellite intelligence on Ukrainian targets, including those linked to foreign investments.
“There is evidence of high-level cooperation between Russia and China in conducting satellite reconnaissance of Ukrainian territory to identify and further investigate strategic targets. As we have seen in recent months, some of these targets may belong to foreign investors,” Aleksandrov said.
President Volodymyr Zelensky and his regional officials noted that a Russian missile strike in August hit an American equipment factory in the western Zakarpattia region, injuring 15 people.
Earlier, in April, Zelensky stated that China was supplying Russia with weapons and gunpowder. He also indicated that the Ukrainian government had information suggesting China was producing weapons on Russian territory.
