US President Donald Trump praised Israel for temporarily halting airstrikes in Gaza and urged Hamas to act quickly on his peace plan, warning that delays will not be tolerated.
“I appreciate that Israel has temporarily stopped bombings to give hostage release and the Peace Agreement a chance to succeed,” Trump wrote on his platform Truth Social.
“Hamas must act quickly, otherwise everything could be canceled,” he added.
Trump emphasized the urgency, stating:
“We will not tolerate delays, which many expect, or any outcome where Gaza again poses a threat. Let’s do this—FAST. Everyone will be treated fairly!”
The president’s comments come after three separate airstrikes in Gaza City this morning, one of which killed a person and injured several others, according to medical sources at al-Shifa Hospital.
