Serb community MP Nenad Rashiq was today elected as the fifth Deputy Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, receiving 73 votes in favor.
Following the vote, Rashiq expressed gratitude to his colleagues who supported him and emphasized the importance of swiftly building functional institutions.
“I am very grateful to my colleagues who voted for me today, and I hope this will be a new beginning in building institutions as quickly as possible,” Rashiq stated after the vote.
His election comes as part of the Assembly’s constitutive process, with Rashiq now assuming the position of Deputy Speaker representing the Serb community.
