The Kosovo Security Force (FSK) has successfully completed two advanced training courses at the Command of Doctrine and Training (KDS) in Ferizaj, conducted by teams from the U.S. Army’s Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO).
The two courses — the “Battle Staff Course” and the “Drill Sergeant Course” — were delivered with the aim of strengthening FSK’s operational capabilities. According to acting Defence Minister Ejup Maqedonci, the Battle Staff Course focused on developing non-commissioned officers in the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), improving staff synchronization for combat functions, and advancing command-and-control processes at battalion and brigade levels.
The “Drill Sergeant Course” trained future FSK instructors tasked with transforming new recruits into disciplined, physically prepared soldiers capable of basic combat tactics and drill instruction.
Minister Maqedonci emphasized that both courses contribute directly to the professional development of FSK personnel and to the overall operational readiness of Kosovo’s security forces.
