Spiropali to Visit Thaçi at The Hague

Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, has arrived for an official visit to The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands.

In The Hague, Spiropali will be received by Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel, with whom she will sign a joint declaration to strengthen the partnership in the context of support for the country’s European integration.

Spiropali will also thank the Dutch Foreign Minister for the positive recommendation that his government submitted to the Dutch parliament regarding the opening of Chapter 5 of Albania’s EU accession negotiations within November.

The meeting will also focus on new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of economy, security, and academic exchanges.

Today, the Minister will visit former President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, at the detention facility of the Special Court.

Spiropali will hold an open lecture at The Hague University of Applied Sciences with students and academics from the European Studies Program, discussing Albania’s agenda and commitments to ensuring European standards.
