President of the Roma Party, Srđan Šajn, has filed a criminal complaint against Miloš Pavlović and other organizers of the months-long protest in Belgrade’s Pionirski Park, accusing them of undermining Serbia’s constitutional order and endangering public safety.

According to Šajn, the group gathered in what they call “Ćaciland” has for over six months threatened citizens’ security and acted as an organized criminal group pursuing illegal political goals. He also criticized their behavior toward Dijana Hrka, the mother of one of the 16 victims of the Novi Sad tragedy, who is on a hunger strike demanding justice and early elections.

“Their behavior shows they act as a community without faith or moral character,” Šajn stated, urging the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office to immediately investigate the legality of the gathering and its consequences.

The Roma Party further called for a temporary ban on the protest, arguing that its continuation poses a serious social and constitutional threat.

Šajn strongly condemned the protesters’ nationalist slogans:

“The chants ‘We won’t give up Serbia,’ directed at citizens with different political beliefs, are a direct call to overthrow the constitutional order — something absolutely intolerable in a democratic society,” he warned.

His statement represents a rare and bold criticism of Serbia’s increasingly radical nationalist rhetoric, which has been tacitly tolerated by President Aleksandar Vučić’s government. Analysts note that such movements are often instrumentalized to divert public attention from corruption, repression, and Serbia’s growing isolation in Europe.
