Kosovo Offers Assistance to Albania and Montenegro in Fighting Wildfires

Acting Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci has announced that Kosovo is ready to provide assistance to Albania and Montenegro, which are currently battling wildfires in several areas.

Maqedonci said he had been in contact with his counterparts, the defense ministers of Albania and Montenegro, and conveyed the Ministry of Defense’s readiness to make Kosovo’s capabilities available should assistance be requested.

“Kosovo is ready to support the relevant authorities if such assistance is deemed necessary, by making our capabilities available to help address the situation caused by the wildfires,” Maqedonci said.

He emphasized that, in situations such as these, solidarity and cooperation among countries in the region are particularly important.

According to Maqedonci, the Ministry of Defense, the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and other institutions remain ready to respond and provide support wherever their capabilities may be needed.

Albania and Montenegro are currently dealing with wildfires in several areas, while authorities are working to contain and extinguish the flames.
