Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul to discuss bilateral relations between Kosovo and Serbia, including the implementation of the Brussels Agreement and the Ohrid Annex.

Kurti emphasized that more than two years have passed since the terrorist attack in Banjskë, in which Kosovo Police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed, and the leader of the terrorist group, Milan Radoiçiq, has still not been handed over to Kosovo authorities.

“The Prime Minister highlighted that even more than two years after the terrorist attack in Banjskë, where a Kosovo Police officer was killed, the leader of this terrorist and paramilitary group, Milan Radoiçiq, continues to roam freely in Serbia, while the official authorities in Belgrade refuse to hand him and his group over to the Republic of Kosovo, despite evidence of his involvement in the attack and the indictment issued by Kosovo’s Prosecutor’s Office. Meanwhile, he and his group continue to pose a threat to the country’s security,” the Prime Minister’s Office stated.

Kurti also stressed that Kosovo remains determined and committed to deepening bilateral relations with Germany.

“The Prime Minister expressed that the Republic of Kosovo is determined and committed to working with Germany to strengthen bilateral relations and advance on its path toward the European Union and NATO. On this occasion, he emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo deserves to receive candidate country status for EU membership and that the European Commission should submit the accession questionnaire as soon as possible,” the Prime Minister’s Office added.
