The U.S. House of Representatives has voted by an overwhelming majority to compel the Department of Justice to release all files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The bipartisan bill must now pass the Senate before President Donald Trump can sign it into law, according to BBC reports.

Prior to the vote, Epstein’s victims spoke at a press conference at the U.S. Capitol. Annie Farmer stated that they had suffered from “institutional betrayal” for many years.

Standing alongside the survivors, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene criticized her former ally, Donald Trump. Greene, whom Trump has called a “traitor,” claimed that the Epstein case had “destroyed MAGA,” Trump’s “Make America Great Again” movement.

In recent days, Trump himself urged Republicans to support the release of the files. This follows the publication last week of more than 20,000 pages of documents, some of which reference Trump.

Trump has previously stated that he severed ties with Epstein many years ago and has repeatedly denied any involvement in the sexual abuse or trafficking attributed to Epstein.
