Glauk Konjufca, the second prime minister-designate proposed by Vetëvendosje, has failed to secure enough votes to be confirmed as prime minister.
The vote tally showed 56 in favor, 53 against, and 4 abstentions.
With this second failure to form an executive, the path is now open for new elections.
