PDK Chairman Bedri Hamza, reacting after the second failed attempt by Vetëvendosje, the winner of the February 9 elections, to form a government, said it is now time for a government that delivers.

Hamza stated that citizens must restore institutional stability through their vote, emphasizing that President Vjosa Osmani should set the election date as soon as possible.

“The successive failure of two prime minister-designates clearly shows that the current government has lost political support. The majority that emerged from the last elections has proven unable to form new institutions, creating institutional, political, and state uncertainty,” he said.

Hamza stressed that there is now only one responsible way forward: new elections.

“The President must set the date as soon as possible, because we have already lost enough time. Citizens must restore institutional stability through their vote, so we can form a functional, reform-oriented, and responsible government. The time for big words is over. It is time for a government that works,” Hamza wrote.
