Bedri Hamza, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), has released a public video address emphasizing the importance of the December 28 elections and urging citizens to grant him the mandate to “restore stability and development” in the country.

In his address, Hamza said the upcoming vote represents a decisive moment for Kosovo’s future.

“On December 28, your vote will determine the direction of Kosovo. A major responsibility, but also a great opportunity for change,” Hamza stated, outlining what he sees as two possible paths for the country’s political trajectory.

He asked citizens to reflect on whether Kosovo deserves “a stable government, a government that unites, and a Prime Minister who genuinely serves the people,” or whether the country should continue facing “crises, divisions, and irresponsibility.”

Call for Trust and a New Mandate

Hamza openly requested the public’s trust to lead the next government.

“I choose the first path. That is why today I am asking for your confidence. Give me your trust so that I can bring stability back to Kosovo,” he said.

He pledged to form a professional, transparent, and accountable cabinet, composed of “capable and honest individuals”, promising a governing approach guided by responsibility and results.

“Trust me to form a government that keeps its promises and puts citizens first,” Hamza added.

Criticism of Current Governance

The PDK leader described the current situation in Kosovo as concerning, pointing to ongoing political tensions and growing uncertainty among the population.

“Today, Kosovo is burdened by crises. We live under a fog of insecurity and instability, while every day we witness the fading hope among our youth,” Hamza warned.

A Vision for a Better Future

Hamza emphasized that meaningful change is possible and encouraged citizens to see the elections as a moment to open a new chapter for the country.

“It does not have to stay this way. On December 28, I am asking for a chance to lift this fog from our country and our people,” he said.

He insisted that Kosovo has the potential for a brighter future and promised governance that prioritizes unity, stability, and prosperity.

“Because Kosovo can do better. Because you deserve much better. Give me the opportunity to bring the best and most talented people into public service,” Hamza continued.

A New Beginning for Kosovo

Hamza concluded his message with a call for collective optimism and national cohesion.

“There is a better Kosovo ahead of us — a stable, prosperous Kosovo, a Kosovo of opportunities for all. On December 28, we open a new chapter. Let us choose unity. Let us choose stability. Let us choose prosperity for Kosovo,” he declared.
