The chairman of the Justice Party, Ferid Agani, has responded to recent developments concerning the Coalition for the Family.
Through a post on social media, Agani laid out what he called the truth about the Family List.
“In recent days, false claims and attempts at political appropriation of the name and results of the Coalition for the Family have been circulated in public. These actions are not only inaccurate they are unacceptable and constitute an attempt to manipulate citizens.
For the sake of truth, we are clarifying the facts clearly and unequivocally,” Agani wrote, as reported by Rks News.
According to him, the Coalition for the Family was formed based on a written and signed agreement between four partners:
“Dr. Ferid Agani of the Justice Party (PD), Mr. Fatmir Smajli representing the group of experts and intellectuals INTEGRITETI, Mr. Eman Rrahmani representing the group of deputies, and Mr. Behgjet Pacolli of the New Kosovo Alliance (AKR). This coalition was voted as a joint political project, supported by citizens with around 20,000 votes, and not as an individual platform,” Agani stated.
He added that anyone claiming that the 20,000 votes are “personal votes” is acting contrary to the truth, to the political agreement, and to even the most basic standards of correctness.

Dear citizens of the Republic of Kosovo,
In recent days, false claims and political attempts to appropriate the name and results of the Coalition for the Family have been circulating in public. These actions are not only inaccurate — they are unacceptable and represent an attempt to mislead citizens.
For the sake of truth, we are clarifying the facts clearly and without ambiguity.
The Coalition for the Family was established through a written and signed agreement between four partners:
Dr. Ferid Agani, Justice Party (PD)
Mr. Fatmir Smajli, INTEGRITETI — the group of experts and intellectuals
Mr. Eman Rrahmani, representing the group of deputies
Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, New Kosovo Alliance (AKR)
This coalition was voted as a joint political project, supported by citizens with around 20,000 votes, not as the platform of any individual.
For this reason, we state firmly:
1. The result of the Coalition for the Family is 100% collective capital, and any attempt to portray it as “personal property” is a serious political and ethical deviation.
2. Anyone claiming that the 20,000 votes are “personal votes” is acting against the truth, against the political agreement, and against any minimal standard of correctness.
3. Everyone has the right to leave, change direction, or build new projects, but no one — absolutely no one — has the right to appropriate the results of a collective project for narrow personal interests.
4. Any use of the name “Coalition for the Family” or “Family List” after the expiration of the agreement on February 9, 2024, is unauthorized, invalid, and constitutes political deception of the public.
5. Anyone who continues to misuse this name or result, despite prior warnings, is entering the territory of political and legal responsibility.
We, the three partners who remain committed to the agreement and the original vision, will not allow the work, contribution, and votes of the citizens to be distorted by individual interpretations without any political or moral basis.
We will continue to defend transparency, integrity, and seriousness in politics.
The citizens deserve to know the truth and should not be misled by fabricated narratives that do not reflect reality.
