During an official visit to Shkodra on the occasion of Albania’s 28 November celebrations, President Vjosa Osmani addressed the ongoing political situation in Kosovo, reports Ekonomia Online.
Despite the heightened political climate, Osmani emphasized that “the November holidays remain special, regardless of political circumstances.”
Speaking about Kosovo’s upcoming early elections, she noted that such processes are entirely normal in a democratic system. Osmani expressed confidence that Kosovo’s institutions and citizens will once again demonstrate the strength of the country’s democratic framework.
“Preparations for early elections are normal in a democratic country. Kosovo has an exceptionally strong electoral democracy, and I am confident these elections will proceed smoothly,” she stated.
Osmani added that her hope is for Kosovo to have a new government immediately after the elections, ensuring institutional stability.
She also made clear that the political process does not overshadow the cultural and historical significance of 29 November celebrations, which she said will continue as planned.
