Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama commemorated legendary commander Adem Jashari on the 70th anniversary of his birth, highlighting his historic role in the national struggle.
In his message, Rama noted that Jashari’s birthday coincides with Albania’s Flag Day, symbolizing the commander’s enduring significance in the collective memory of the Albanian nation.
“Today we commemorate the 70th anniversary of Adem Jashari’s birth. He was born on Flag Day and became himself a flag of sacrifice, freedom, and national pride,” Rama wrote.
Jashari, one of the founding figures of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), would have turned 70 years old today. He was born on 28 November 1955 in Prekaz, Skenderaj.
