Representatives of the organizations emerging from the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) held tributes today at the “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Prekaz.

The head of the OVL-KLA, Hysni Gucati, stated that the November celebrations feel incomplete in the absence of former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi, who are currently being held in The Hague. He expressed hope that they will return to Kosovo and celebrate next year’s holidays together with the people.

We congratulate you on the four November holidays: the 1944 celebration of raising the flag in Kruja by Skanderbeg, the 1912 Declaration of Independence of Albania, the 1955 birthday of the legendary commander, and the public emergence of the KLA. These holidays are incomplete because our KLA leaders are in The Hague, where they are being unjustly detained. But this is what happened, and we hope and believe that next year we will celebrate these holidays together with them,” Gucati stated from Prekaz.
