Leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the party’s candidate for prime minister, Lumir Abdixhiku, announced that he held an extensive online meeting today with all LDK branches across the diaspora.

Abdixhiku called on diaspora members to return to Kosovo in large numbers to vote in the upcoming December 28 elections, emphasizing their decisive role in shaping political outcomes.

According to him, during the last local elections, LDK received the highest number of diaspora votes compared to all other political parties.

In a detailed post, Abdixhiku described the virtual gathering as energizing and encouraging, stating that the engagement of diaspora activists has strengthened the party’s confidence ahead of the electoral campaign.

“Come massively on December 28” was Abdixhiku’s main message to all participants, expressing certainty that the diaspora would once again play a pivotal role. He highlighted that the diaspora has consistently demonstrated loyalty and responsibility toward Kosovo’s democratic processes.

Abdixhiku stressed that Kosovo is approaching a critical political moment, one that he described as a turning point for the country’s direction and governance. He called the December elections a moment where “our word becomes a vote and the vote becomes change.”

He concluded by thanking diaspora activists for their continued dedication, urging them to contribute to what he described as LDK’s path to victory on December 28.
