Today marks the final day for registered political parties to notify the Central Election Commission (CEC) of their intention to run as part of a coalition in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for 28 December 2025.
This period, which began on 24 November, officially closes tonight, 30 November.
So far, the CEC has been informed about the formation of two coalitions for participation in the elections:
- “PAI – PDAK – LPB”, consisting of three political parties:
Partia e Ashkalinjëve për Integrim (PAI),
Partia Demokratike e Ashkanlive të Kosovës (PDAK), and
Lëvizja për Bashkëveprim (LPB); - The VAKAT Coalition, made up of three political parties:
Demokratska Stranka Bošnjaka (DSB),
Bošnjačka Stranka Kosova (BSK), and
Demokratska Stranka Vatan (DSV).
According to election rules, a coalition must consist of at least two political parties. Once certified by the CEC, a party cannot withdraw from the coalition until the election results are officially certified.
Furthermore, a party that is part of a coalition cannot simultaneously participate in another coalition or run independently in the same election.
