Valmir Elezi, spokesperson for the Central Election Commission (KQZ), announced that between November 26 and 30, approximately 24,500 applications for voter registration outside Kosovo were submitted via the electronic platform.
Of these, over 14,600 applications have been approved.
“From November 26 to 30, through the KQZ electronic platform https://diaspora.kqz-ks.org, around 24,500 applications for registration to vote outside Kosovo were received. Over 14,600 of these have been approved, while around 3,500 have been rejected. Approximately 6,400 applications are still under review.
Among the approved applicants, the majority registered to vote by mail, with over 10,500 opting to send their ballot packages to addresses abroad, and over 500 choosing to send their ballot package to the KQZ mailbox in Kosovo. Meanwhile, over 3,500 citizens registered to vote in person at one of Kosovo’s diplomatic missions.”
Elezi also emphasized that the registration process for voters outside Kosovo is not final. Applicants whose requests are rejected are personally informed of the reasons and can reapply through the platform by submitting the required documents in accordance with KQZ instructions. This will be possible for the duration of the registration period.
