Zelensky Arrives in Rome, Meets First with the Pope, Then with Meloni

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Rome, where he will first meet with Pope Francis and later in the afternoon with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. This was announced by presidential spokesperson Serhiy Nikiforrov on the Ukrainian public television, Suspilne.

Meloni is set to reaffirm her support for Kyiv during the scheduled bilateral meeting with Zelensky at Palazzo Chigi, according to the Italian news agency ANSA, reported by Klankosova.

Yesterday, Zelensky was received in Brussels by NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, European Council President António Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

In London, he is scheduled to meet with Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron, and Friedrich Merz.
