The Basic Court in Prishtina has set December 24 as the date for the start of the trial against brothers Dragisha and Jovan Viqentijević, and Igor Dimović, who are charged for the attack on the Ibër‑Lepenc canal in Varagë, Zubin Potok.

This was confirmed for Express by the Court’s spokesperson, Mirlinda Gashi, who stated that the hearing will be held at 09:30.

The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK) on December 9, 2024 filed an indictment against the brothers Dragisha and Jovan Viqentijević, as well as Igor Dimović, for the November 29, 2024 attack on the Ibër‑Lepenc canal in Varagë, Zubin Potok.

According to the indictment, the brothers Dragisha and Jovan Viqentijević, on November 29, 2024, around 18:50, in the village of Varagë, Municipality of Zubin Potok, placed explosives in the Ibër‑Lepenc canal—public infrastructure used for drinking‑water supply and for the Kosovo Energy Corporation’s (KEK) electricity production needs.

The indictment filed by Special Prosecutor Bekim Kodraliu states that the accused, together with several other unknown individuals, after a prior agreement and with the intent to seriously intimidate the population and endanger the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo, placed a significant amount of military‑grade explosives (around 20 kilograms of Trinitrotoluene “TNT”) inside the canal.
