The death toll from the shooting at Bondi Beach has risen to 16, including a child, New South Wales Health Minister Ryan Park told ABC News.
It remains unclear whether the updated casualty figure includes any of the attackers.
Police had earlier stated that one of the suspected perpetrators was killed, while the other is in critical condition.
