At the Basic Court of Prishtina, starting at 09:30 today, the judicial review continues against defendants Blagoje Spasojević, Vladimir Tolić, and Dušan Maksimović, who are facing charges of committing the criminal offense of terrorism in the case known as “Banjska.”
Previously, on December 6, 2024, the Basic Court of Prishtina rejected as unfounded the motions to dismiss the indictment and the objections to evidence submitted by the defense counsels of the aforementioned defendants against the indictment filed by the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, on March 13, 2025, the Court of Appeal announced that it had issued a decision upholding the ruling of the Basic Court of Prishtina, thereby confirming the indictment against the defendants in the “Banjska” case.
So far, those arrested and held in pre-trial detention in connection with this case are Blagoje Spasojević, Vladimir Tolić, and Dušan Maksimović, for whom the criminal proceedings have been separated.
The indictment of the Special Prosecution charges 44 natural persons and one legal entity, “RAD D.O.O.” The list of defendants is led by Milan Radoičić.
On September 11, 2024, the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK) filed an indictment against Milan Radoičić and 44 others for the terrorist attack of September 24, 2023, in Banjska, Zvečan. The defendants are accused of attempting, through the use of violence with heavy weaponry, to detach the northern part of the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and annex it to the Republic of Serbia. As a result of the violence used, police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed, while the lives of other police officers and the civilian population were endangered.
In the early hours of September 24, 2023, in Banjska, Zvečan, Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed and two other police officers were wounded. Subsequently, three attackers were also killed, while others fled after taking refuge for several hours in the Banjska Monastery. Milan Radoičić later claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.
