Petar Petković, director of the so-called Serbian Office for Kosovo, has openly intervened in Kosovo’s parliamentary elections scheduled for December 28, calling on Kosovo Serbs to vote for Lista Srpska, a party backed and installed by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

Petković framed the elections as “crucial for the survival of the Serbian minority in Kosovo” and emphasized that it is “vital for Listë Serbe to win and secure all ten guaranteed parliamentary seats in Kosovo’s Assembly.”

He urged Serbs to follow Vučić’s call:

“It is important that all Serbs participate in these elections and respond to President Aleksandar Vučić’s call to vote for Listë Serbe, as it is the only party defending Serbian interests.”

Petković went further, appealing even to Serbs who have left Kosovo to cast their votes for the Listë Serbe:

“It is essential that Listë Serbe secures all ten mandates. All Serbs, including those displaced from Kosovo, should vote for Listë Serbe because it is intrinsically linked to Belgrade, sees Belgrade exclusively as its capital, and recognizes President Vučić as its leader,” he stated.

Observers note that this is a direct attempt by Serbia to influence Kosovo’s domestic elections, undermining the independence of the electoral process and the political representation of Kosovo’s Serb community.
