The meeting of the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) has been postponed due to a lack of quorum, after several council members left the session.
KJC member Ahmet Imami was the first to leave the meeting, followed by members Bashkim Hyseni and Besnik Bislimaj.
KJC Chair Rrustem Thaqi announced that, due to the absence of the required quorum for decision-making, the meeting would be rescheduled.
“Since several members have left the meeting, and there is no quorum for decision-making, the meeting is postponed until a later date. You will be informed in due time,” Thaqi said.
The agenda included the review of a request submitted by Acting President Albulena Haxhiu regarding the handling of the resignations of Serbian judges and judicial support staff.
Earlier in the meeting, KJC member Bashkim Hyseni, supported by Besnik Bislimaj and Ahmet Imami, requested that the agenda item concerning the mandates of members of the KJC’s standing committees be postponed to a future meeting due to the absence of council member Aferdita Bytyqi.
