Two residents of Mitrovica North have filed complaints with the Kosovo Police alleging pressure and intimidation related to today’s early parliamentary elections. The police have initiated a case concerning the infringement of voters’ free choice and threats, and the matter has been reported to the State Prosecutor.

The complaints coincide with reports that the Serbian List (Srpska Lista) is openly organizing voters near its offices, in apparent violation of Electoral Regulation No. 07/2024, which prohibits campaign activities and gatherings near polling stations during the election silence period. Observers note that such actions can undermine the fairness of the electoral process and exert undue influence on the Serbian community in northern Kosovo.

Earlier in the campaign, the Serbian List was fined €30,000 following complaints from other Serbian political actors, highlighting a pattern of alleged violations and attempts to mobilize voters in ways that challenge electoral rules.

As Kosovo conducts its early parliamentary elections today, authorities face the critical task of ensuring a transparent and fair voting process, particularly in northern municipalities where reports of external influence and organized voter mobilization persist.
