One day after the parliamentary elections in Kosovo, Albin Kurti, leader of the Vetëvendosje (LVV) party, responded to the electoral outcome, in which his party emerged as the frontrunner.
Kurti emphasized that Kosovo’s future remains firmly oriented towards the European Union (EU).
Posting on platform X, Kurti expressed gratitude to voters and all those who ensured a free, fair, and incident-free election process. He stated:
“Yesterday, the people of Kosovo gave us another strong mandate. It is always an honor to earn the trust of the people, especially following the completion of our first full term in the country’s history. We thank everyone who exercised their right to vote and all who contributed to a free and fair electoral process. We are also grateful for international support throughout, from the European Union, individual countries, and international organizations, which continue to back Kosovo’s democratic progress. Special thanks to our sister parties and the broader progressive movement as we commit to building a society where the dignity and well-being of the people are at the center. Kosovo’s future is prosperous and firmly EU-oriented.”
Preliminary results from the Central Election Commission indicate that LVV secured 49.30% of the votes, positioning the party to form the next government.
