General Jashari Visits the United States, Shows Interest in Aviation Training and Black Hawk Helicopters at Iowa Military Base

The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, paid a visit to the Iowa National Guard Aviation Base in the United States.

During the visit, General Jashari was briefed in detail on the activities of the base and the training procedures for aviation personnel. He had the opportunity to observe firsthand the capabilities and operational capacities of the unit, including its Black Hawk helicopters, which are currently in service with the Iowa National Guard.

The aviation base staff provided General Jashari and his delegation with comprehensive information regarding pilot and crew training, helicopter maintenance, supporting infrastructure, and the inspection procedures required for the operation of Black Hawk helicopters.

During the visit, General Jashari and General Osborn agreed on the establishment of joint working groups to plan the development of this aviation capability within the KSF. This cooperation will cover training, operational use, maintenance, and the creation of the necessary infrastructure.

In conclusion, Lieutenant General Jashari highly praised the professionalism of the unit and expressed his gratitude to the aviation base staff for their readiness to provide support to the Kosovo Security Force regarding Black Hawk helicopters, describing them as a critically important future capability for the KSF.
