A large wildfire has spread through the outskirts of Tirana, in the area of Daias, with flames rapidly advancing and creating dangerous conditions for firefighting crews.
Dramatic footage shows the moment firefighters are reportedly ordered to get back inside their vehicles and leave the area as the flames intensify.
Albania has faced several new wildfire outbreaks today. In addition to the fire in Daias, residents in the Abaze neighborhood of Krujë were evacuated after the flames posed a serious threat to the area.
The rapidly spreading fires have placed both residents and emergency crews at significant risk, as firefighters continue efforts to contain the flames.
