During a special prosecutor-ordered operation at the public enterprise “Eko Regjioni” in Prizren, police arrested two men and seized documents, a firearm, laptops, cash, and other evidence, the Kosovo Police reported.
The operation included searches of the suspects’ homes, the public enterprise, and a private business. Authorities confiscated contracts linked to the case, a long firearm with a 20-round magazine, two laptops, cash, and other relevant materials.
Two Kosovo men were arrested in connection with the case. Following interrogation, they were detained by order of the prosecutor.
- A.G. is suspected of abuse of official position under Article 414, paragraph 1, in conjunction with Article 31 of the Criminal Code of Kosovo.
- R.Z. faces charges of abuse and fraud in public procurement under Article 415, paragraph 3, in conjunction with paragraph 1 of the same code.
The case highlights ongoing efforts to combat corruption and irregularities in public institutions.
