The weekend brought a significant increase in movement toward Kosovo, where winter tourist destinations are attracting more and more visitors.
Brezovica, Prevalla, and Peja are among the most preferred areas, while border authorities are working to manage the flow and avoid delays.
Unlike the summer months, when the highest traffic is usually entering Albania, winter tourist destinations are now attracting the most visitors. Many travelers, mainly from Tirana, chose to head to Kosovo over the weekend, aiming for mountainous areas and ski resorts.
To handle the increased vehicle flow, border authorities are operating all checkpoints to prevent delays and facilitate smooth circulation.
In the last 24 hours, over 9,000 people have been recorded entering and leaving through this border point. During weekdays, traffic remains lower compared to the weekend.
