The offices of Elon Musk’s social media platform X in France are being raided, according to the Paris Prosecutor’s Office.
Its cybercrime unit is carrying out the searches, the office said in a statement on X. Europol is also assisting in the operation.
The raid is related to an ongoing investigation opened in January 2025.
The prosecutor’s office added that both Elon Musk and former X CEO Linda Yaccarino have also been summoned to appear in hearings in April as part of the investigation.
X has not yet responded. BBC News reached out for comment.
The prosecutor’s office also stated that it is moving away from X and will now communicate via LinkedIn and Instagram.
