The Central Election Commission (CEC) has not provided an exact date for when it will convene the next session to certify the results of the early parliamentary elections in Kosovo, held on December 28, 2025.
CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi told Indeksonline that the election process is currently in the appeals phase and that the institution must wait for these procedures to conclude.
“Currently, the election process is in the phase of appeals against the final results announced by the CEC on January 31, 2026. According to the Law on General Elections, parties have the right to appeal the decisions of the Complaints and Appeals Panel (PZAP) to the Supreme Court, and the deadline for submitting appeals ends today,” he said.
“The Central Election Commission will wait until these decisions become final and then proceed with the certification of the final results of the early parliamentary elections for the Kosovo Assembly, held on December 28, 2025,” Elezi added.
The early parliamentary elections in Kosovo on December 28 were held 40 days ago.
