Recently released FBI documents suggest that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein provided financial support to organizations connected to Israel’s military and settlement activities, according to records published on the U.S. Department of Justice website.
Funding Linked to Israeli Military Support Group
An FBI financial analysis examining revenue streams and transfers to non-charitable organizations reportedly found that Epstein donated to the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF). The organization is known for raising funds to support active-duty Israeli soldiers and military veterans.
According to information published on its official website, FIDF finances programs aimed at reducing financial stress and economic insecurity among combat soldiers, allowing them to remain focused on military operations. The organization also states that it facilitates direct donor connections with selected military brigades to provide targeted assistance.
Alleged Contributions to Settlement Construction Organization
The FBI records also reportedly indicate that Epstein funded the Jewish National Fund (JNF), which is described as one of the largest organizations involved in land development and settlement-related projects in Palestinian territories.
Previous Visits and Political Connections
Reports dating back to 2008 by Page Six, owned by the New York Post, stated that Epstein visited Israel and allegedly toured military bases alongside FIDF chairman Benny Sabtai, while also meeting Israeli scientists during the trip.
The documents further highlight Epstein’s connections with several international political and business figures, including:
- Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, CEO of Dubai-based global port operator DP World, who reportedly visited Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little Saint James.
- Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, who reportedly partnered with Epstein in 2015 to invest in a homeland security technology startup known as Reporty Homeland Security, later rebranded as Carbyne.
Although Barak has previously downplayed the extent of his relationship with Epstein, newly released files reportedly contain over 4,000 references to his name, suggesting a long-standing association. Barak also served as Israel’s defense minister between 2007 and 2013.
Ongoing Scrutiny of Epstein’s Global Financial Network
The newly disclosed materials add to continuing investigations and public scrutiny surrounding Epstein’s financial dealings and international connections, which have remained under examination following his conviction and death in 2019.
