Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has promised tax cuts and government continuity following the Liberal Democratic Party’s (LDP) landslide victory in the general elections.
The LDP is expected to secure a two-thirds majority in the House of Representatives, while the government plans to push forward with a consumption tax cut and strengthen the economy without changes to the cabinet.
