Albania has achieved its second historic medal at the Olympics, this time with Islam Dudaev, who won the Bronze medal in the 65 kg weight class.
The Chechen wrestler representing Albania secured victory in the final against Russian wrestler Ismail Musukaev, who represents Hungary, with a narrow score of 13-12.
This is Albania’s second historic Olympic medal in wrestling, following the one won by Chermen Valiev the previous evening.
Thus, Albania concludes the Paris Games in the best possible way, departing with two medals, a first in the country’s Olympic history.
