The Albanian Muslim Community (KMSH) has clarified, following inquiries from Euronews Albania’s “Review” program, that the well-known religious preacher Imran Hosein has no affiliation with KMSH and was not invited to any event, lecture, or official visit by the organization.
In an exclusive statement to Euronews, KMSH emphasized that it has no information regarding the reasons behind Hosein’s visit or the authorities’ decision to deny him entry into Albania.
KMSH further stated that for any additional clarifications, inquiries should be directed to security authorities and relevant institutions.
According to preliminary reports, the well-known Islamic scholar was stopped by border police at Rinas Airport after security agencies allegedly linked him to potential extremist activities, Euronews Albania reported.
Hosein had planned to visit Albania for religious engagements, but following a background verification, authorities decided not to allow his entry into the country.
