The leader of the LDK parliamentary group, Hykmete Bajrami, has stated that LDK will not participate in the meeting called by Albin Kurti.
“However, neither Chairman Abdixhiku nor anyone from the Democratic League of Kosovo will attend this meeting. The position of the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, which belongs to the Democratic League of Kosovo, is based on the election results and is not open for discussion with any other party. Furthermore, deputy speakers are voted in a block by the Assembly, according to the usual practice,” said Bajrami.
“Meanwhile, the election of the Speaker of the Assembly is a matter of a political agreement between the parties aiming to form a majority, and the Democratic League of Kosovo has already made it clear that it is not interested in such an agreement,” she added.
