In a move signaling ongoing bipartisan support for U.S. presidential inaugurations, Boeing announced a $1 million donation to the fund for Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration. This contribution is part of the company’s longstanding tradition of supporting inauguration committees across party lines.
Along with Boeing, several major corporations have pledged their support to the fund, including tech giants Google, Meta, Amazon, Uber, and oil producer Chevron. Boeing emphasized that it has made similar donations to the last three presidential inauguration funds.
“We are pleased to continue Boeing’s bipartisan tradition of supporting U.S. presidential inauguration committees,” a spokesperson from the company said. Boeing is also involved in the construction of the next Air Force One, with two new jets expected to enter service next year.
Google and Microsoft, along with Chevron, Meta, Amazon, and Uber, have confirmed their donations. Chevron’s representative, Bill Turene, highlighted the company’s commitment to celebrating democracy by supporting inauguration efforts from both political parties, although the specific donation amount was not disclosed.
Google has become the latest major tech company to contribute, joining Meta and Amazon. The tech giant also announced that it would livestream the event globally via YouTube, with Karan Bhatia, Google’s global head of government affairs, expressing pride in supporting the 2025 inauguration.
In addition to tech companies, major automotive manufacturers including Ford, General Motors, and Toyota have also donated $1 million each to the inaugural committee.
Trump’s inauguration, which will mark the beginning of his second term in the White House, is scheduled for January 20, 2025.
