The presiding officer of the constitutive session, Avni Dehari, has suspended the session following the failed vote to elect Albulena Haxhiu as Speaker of the Assembly.
He announced that the session will resume on Friday, April 25, at 10:00 AM.
“In the chamber, 57 MPs voted in favor, 46 against, and 3 abstained. Based on the voting results, the candidate for Speaker does not pass, and the session is suspended until Friday, April 25, at 10:00,” Dehari stated.
