KFOR Commander Enrico Barduani stated that he discussed with the Chief of Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces the importance of implementing political dialogue in reducing tensions and ensuring long-term stability.
“As the commander of KFOR, I have regular discussions with all my counterparts, including the Chief of Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, whom I met in October of last year and with whom I remain in continuous contact. We reach out to each other when we have specific issues to discuss. We talk about a wide range of topics, including security and stability in the Western Balkans,” said the KFOR Commander.
“For example, in our last meeting, I emphasized the strategic importance of this region and the crucial role of political dialogue in easing tensions and ensuring long-term stability.”
Additionally, Barduani added that KFOR continues to monitor any activity along Kosovo’s border lines.
“Meanwhile, KFOR continues to monitor every activity along the administrative border line in accordance with our mandate from the UN,” he said in an interview with “Info Magazine.”
