The Olympic Games “Paris 2024” officially started on Friday night.
The opening ceremony took place in a special way, with 10,500 athletes parading in about 850 boats on the Seine River.
Among them were the Olympic team of Kosovo, with Nora and Akil Gjakova carrying the Olympic flag.
Apart from them, Kosovo will be represented by Distria Krasniqi, Laura Fazliu, Loriana Kuka, Donjeta Sadiku, Gresa Bakraçi, Hana Beiqi and Adell Shabovic.
The first competitor from Kosovo to appear at the Olympic Games is the boxer Donjeta Sadiku.
Today she will face in the first round with Thamanya Somnuek from Thailand, category -60 kg, the fight which starts at 21:00.
