The U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, was presented with the “Key to the City” by Prishtina Mayor Perparim Rama in a farewell meeting, as Hovenier is set to retire soon.
“From our discussions about transforming Prishtina into a capital of culture to our efforts to support the arts, I have truly enjoyed our cooperation,” Hovenier said.
Meanwhile, Mayor Perparim Rama stated that the “Key to the City” was presented to Hovenier “as a token of gratitude and respect for his exceptional commitment to our country.”
Rama added that Hovenier is a valued friend and a strong voice in support of Kosovo’s progress. “Ambassador Hovenier is a treasured friend and a powerful advocate for our advancement. The capital will always remember his role in strengthening the ties between our people and our greatest ally, the United States. Thank you, Ambassador Hovenier, for your contribution to Kosovo and our capital. The doors of the capital will always be open to you!”
