Fushë-Kosova, Drenas, Obiliq, and part of the Kalabria neighborhood in Prishtina have been left without water supply after the water treatment plant in Shkabaj went out of service.
The Regional Water Company “Prishtina” announced that due to the extremely high turbidity levels in the Ibër-Lepenc canal, caused by heavy rainfall, the water treatment process has become impossible.
In addition to these areas, KRU “Prishtina” warned that reductions may occur in other parts of the capital as well.
“Our teams are on the ground continuously monitoring the situation. Water supply will be restored immediately once the parameters in the supply canal stabilize,” the company said in a statement.
