General Barduani visits Turkish contingent at “Sultan Murat” camp

The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, together with Deputy Commander Brigadier General Cahit İrican, visited the “Sultan Murat” camp where they met with personnel from the Turkish contingent, reports Rks News.

During the visit, General Barduani was welcomed by the Camp Commander, Colonel Ersin Çelikkanat, and was briefed on the current security situation and operational activities within the area of responsibility.

General Barduani expressed his appreciation for the contribution of the Turkish soldiers in KFOR’s efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1244, protecting freedom of movement and the safety of residents in Kosovo, working closely with the Kosovo Police and the EULEX mission to fulfill its security role.
