Germany’s top diplomat, Johann Wadephul, will visit Kosovo tomorrow as part of a tour across the six countries of the Western Balkans.
The German Embassy confirmed that Wadephul is already en route to Pristina. During his visit, he will meet with President Vjosa Osmani and Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti to discuss Kosovo’s path toward European Union membership.
In a video shared from his airplane, Wadephul emphasized that Germany supports all countries on their journey toward the EU. He also noted progress made by Montenegro and Albania in meeting EU integration criteria.
“Our Foreign Minister 🇩🇪, Johann Wadephul, is on his way to Pristina! 🇽🇰 Currently on a tour of the Western Balkans—6 countries in 4 days—he will visit Kosovo tomorrow to discuss Kosovo’s 🇽🇰 path toward the EU 🇪🇺,” the embassy stated.
