Former British soldier Jon Harrison, who trained members of the Kosovo Liberation Army during the 1999 war and recently received Kosovar citizenship, has delivered a message to Kosovo’s political leaders.
In an interview with Politiko, Harrison urged politicians to put divisions aside and work for the people, recalling the spirit of unity that existed during the war.
“Unite, like we united in 1999. Work for the people,” he said.
Harrison emphasized that the unity shown during the war years was key to resistance and survival, adding that the same commitment should now serve as the foundation for building Kosovo’s future.
