Kosovo’s Minister for Family and Social Welfare, Andin Hoti, has reacted following the publication of the database containing the names of war victims in Kosovo, describing it as an obligation toward the victims, their families, society, history, and collective memory.
Hoti emphasized that preserving the truth is a responsibility toward the past and a guarantee for the future.
“I am pleased that, finally, Kosovo has a complete database with the names of war victims. We owe this to the victims, their families, our society, our history, and our collective memory. Preserving the truth is an obligation toward the past and a guarantee for the future,” Hoti wrote.
Meanwhile, the Institute for Crimes Committed During the War in Kosovo (IKKL) has published a preliminary report listing people who were killed, forcibly disappeared, or died as a result of the war in Kosovo.
