International media reported today that a ceasefire agreement has been reached between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
In response to this achievement, the incoming President of the United States, Donald Trump, also commented.
Trump stated that hostages held by Hamas would soon be released.
“Better days are coming for America and the world,” Trump said.
“We have a deal for hostages in the Middle East. They will be released soon. Thank you!” the President-elect of the White House added.
“With this agreement in place, my national security team, through the efforts of Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, will continue to work closely with Israel and our allies to ensure that Gaza will never again become a safe haven for terrorism. We will continue to promote peace through strength in the region, while building on this ceasefire moment to further expand the historic Abraham Accords. This is just the beginning of great things to come for America, and indeed, for the world!” the 78-year-old said.
