Soldiers assigned to the Regional Command-East (RC-E), part of the NATO-led KFOR mission, have carried out helicopter medical evacuation training (hoist training) within their area of responsibility along the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) in eastern Kosovo.
According to a KFOR statement, the exercise involved both ground personnel and air assets, aiming to enhance the capability for rapid extraction and evacuation of injured individuals in difficult terrain.
“The training integrated ground personnel and air assets, improving the ability to quickly extract and evacuate the injured in complex terrain. Through activities focused on emergency scenarios, KFOR personnel strengthen readiness and interoperability among multinational forces, maintain a high level of situational awareness, and demonstrate the mission’s continued commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo,” the statement said.
